The Full Story

Early Childhood

Simeon Outten was born on November 24th, 1965, on Grand Bahama Island, to Pastor Hilton and Cecilia Outten. He is the fifth child in a family of ten children, which include, seven boys and three girls. Growing up the son of a pastor, Simeon’s life revolved greatly around going to church. While still young, he developed a love for music, and was actively involved in the music ministry of his father’s church and even learned to play several instruments. His first love, however was singing gospel music, more specifically , the good old fashioned Bahamian Gospel songs.​ 

Early Adult Life

Solo Career

After ten years with DECISION, Simeon, again pursued a solo career. In 2003, he released his second solo effort, “Freedom” which earned him a Marlin Award for Gospel Rake and Scrape song of the year, for his single from the album entitled ‘Praise Medley’.


In 2006, after a devastating hurricane on Grand Bahama destroyed his home along with all his and his families’ possessions, Simeon persevered and released his third solo album, “Reflections”. A song on the album entitled ‘Thank You’, tells his personal story of the loss of his home during the storm, and how he continues to give thanks and praise to God despite the devastation.

Simeon still continues to take the Gospel in song throughout the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and North America. He served as Assistant Pastor at the Solid Rock Church of the Nazarene for fifteen years. He is married to the beautiful Nicole Outten, and they have three children, Adam , Rashida , and Admiral.

Called To Serve


On November 1st, 2009, the doors of New Life Worship Center were opened, which marked the beginning of the ministry in the city of Freeport, Bahamas. Approximately one hundred and twenty-seven persons were there to worship God and give Him praise for the new work that had begun.

God has truly been faithful and has given the ministry a wonderful harvest of souls. The ministry continues to grow in numbers as people love the unique innovative style of Newlife. The Motto is “EACH ONE REACH ONE”.
